Notre Dame Housing (NDH) is an organization that embraces the lives of seniors through affordable service-enriched housing. The historical contributions of the Notre Dame Sisters has provided NDH with the opportunity to continue to celebrate their legacy through our programs and services. Our goal is to meet each individual woman exactly where they are on their unique journey to healing and recovery. We recognize that those we serve face a variety of challenges, and some individuals may face numerous obstacles simultaneously.
Housing is of vital importance because it plays a disproportionately important role in the lives of seniors due to its cost, the amount of time seniors spend in their home and their desire to age in place. Moreover, housing is a major determinant of safety, ability to get out into the community, and the ability to afford other basic necessities of life.
Affordable housing is about strengthening neighborhoods and giving everyone the opportunity to share in our area’s economic prosperity. It is also about addressing important issues like economic diversity and is needed to ensure thriving communities. When we all work together, we can identify innovative solutions, advocate for those without a voice, and create the homes that people need and deserve.
We believe that we can help break the cycle of poverty, because supportive housing provides the foundation seniors need and with your help WE can make it happen.
